Jeff’s motto: “Do more, faster!”

I speed up when all around me people are slowing down. I am definitely not one of those who take time to smell the roses—there is too much work and too much play I like to pack into my day.  There are those who urge me to slow down, but I resist!

At the office, on the road, I am in a shrill state of hyperactivity. I defend my state of “go-go-go” because anything worth doing is worth getting done in a timely manner. Some are born to speed—others have it thrust upon them. And still others know that jumping out of bed in the morning and hitting the road running is a supreme state for mankind!

Welcome to my world of high energy.  Imagine my frustration of suddenly experiencing the sensation of my arms and hands going numb. First, I tried to shake it off and ignore it and just keep on going. But soon, I could not ignore the affect it had on my work and my sleep. I kept moving, but I was doing so with more and more pain.

I love snowmobiling.  (I also love hunting, fishing, golfing…) When this numbness started affecting my ability to grab on to the handle bars and go—I resigned myself to look for answers.  I did what most do first—pain relief medication. Actually, Aleve was pretty good for awhile, but soon was ineffective.  I checked with an M.D. who felt that my problem came from sleeping on my wrist at night.  Surgery was discussed and I wasn’t willing to go there.

I was willing to try chiropractic.  After a few weeks of chiropractic care with Dr. Pete Haugen I could actually sleep at night.  When you sleep well: everything improves. And, best of all, instead of going numb—I am going f-a-s-t again!

Dr. Pete’s Comments:

Jeff’s condition was a loss of the sensation of feeling in his arms and hands. This numbness was a result of nerve interference in the cervical area, in other words chronic neck pain was the cause of Jeff “going numb” in his arms and hands. There is no question that Jeff is a high-energy go-getter, we love having him in come in to Northfield Chiropractic because his energy is contagious!  But in order to keep this man moving he needs to be adjusted regularly and he now understands the necessity and the luxury of having the mobility to work and play as many hours a day as he chooses.  If you know of anyone living with pain or numbness in any part of their body—care enough about them to share Jeff Hasse’s story with them.

Life’s goes by too fast to be slowed down with pain…just ask Jeff.
